ESI Full Form is Employees State Insurance. The scheme was inaugurated in Kanpur on 24th February 1952 by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. It was appointed to report health insurance for industrial workers in India. Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a system of providing health insurance to the employees of an organisation, where more than 10 or 20 employees are working.
Finance deposited under ESI is managed by the Employees State Insurance Corporation as per the guidelines of the ESI Act 1948 and the Employees State Insurance Corporation is subordinate to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India.
