PCS Full Form is Provincial Civil Service. The Provincial Civil Service deals with subjects like Land Revenue, Agriculture, Forest, Education etc. Officers are recruited through the State’s Public Service Commission (PSC).
PCS Eligibility
| 1 | If you are preparing or planning to do PCS then you must be a citizen of India. |
| 2 | At least 21 years of age and maximum 40 years. |
| 3 | You must have any degree from a recognized university. |
| 4 | Reservated Candidates by law exempted from their age. |
PCS Exam Pattern
Preliminary – The first paper has a total of 150 questions and it is of total 200 marks and its duration is 2 hours. There are a total of 100 questions in the second paper and it is of total 200 marks, that is, each question is of 2 marks and its duration is 2 hours.
Mains – It has a total of 8 papers out of which 4 are compulsory and 4 are optional subjects.
Interview – It would be around 200 marks. Questions can be asked related to Your interest or academic background. Generally, general awareness, intelligence, eloquence, character, expressive power / personality are asked.
